Antalya Ecological Cinema Center

The Antalya Ecological Cinema Center (AECC) is an ecological niche between the Gulluk Mountain, the industrial zone and the Old City of Antalya. The project will be the first regional film, art, and music center of international standing. It aims to preserve the memory of Aspendos Theater in Antalya, while conserving three native plant species and providing habitats for more than 502 birds in the region as well as two salamander amphibian species.

The project is divided into three sections. The first section is adapted to conserve the Anatolia Lycian salamander and the Lyciasalamandra billae through the porosity of the cell membrane. The second section is conditioned to grow Peony, Mullein, and Daisy flowers in the pockets produced by the design of the cell. The last section provides cavities to nurse birds during their migration process.

The AEC accommodates one multi-functional theater of 3,000 seats: an indoor cinema of 400 seats and an outdoor bike amphitheater that will enhance the culture of the region and reclaim the memory of Ancient Greek theater Aspendos Antalya. This amphitheater merges the memory of the ancient Greek theater with the new bicycle culture by providing bicycle stations for makeshift seating inside the cinema.
